The staff is genuinely friendly and this place is very laid back. The interior is simple and reminiscent of a late 70's diner. My mother and tried the potato pancakes as well as the hummus. She and I thought it was the best, and she had never tried it before in her life. The potato pancakes are ridiculously big, and stuffed with homemade corn beef hash and eggs. Without planning or research, we chose a random spot, went, dined and had one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. We are the new regulars....

The three of us had excellent breakfast this morning. The one guy had potato pancakes and love them another had a traditional breakfast and thought it was excellent. For medical reasons I had to have oatmeal this morning and they put raisins and almonds in it and it was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If there is a better Mom and Pop diner in the world, then that is a straight lie because Lyla's is the best!

Good food and friendly service. Only thing is I ordered grilled chicken and got a hamburger. I didn't want to wait anymore so I just ate the burger. This is the second time that this happened to me there.

Food was good as usual😊 This place really needs an update. Booth seats are taped, walls are looking dingy. Some times you go in and they have no music playing in the background once they had almost like hard rock playing. Could have some soft background music playing so you don't feel like you are listening to everyone else's conversations.

Not my favorite place. A lot of the food is definitely homemade, which is great! The problem is that even the waitstaff admits it's all reheated. Sadly this means that you get very hit or miss meals. When it's good you'll leave satisfied, but I've found in most cases I wish I would have taken my money elsewhere. Apparently they've been short staffed though, which could be part of the problem.

Everything that I've tried here so far is delicious! The staff are so friendly and wait times aren't very long. Definitely a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict dishes (amazing hollandaise sauce), the skillets, the potato pancakes, and the Mediterranean dishes. I'm very impressed at how good all the food is considering how large and diverse the menu. The small, diner-like feel means it'll never be very loud or over crowded. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

This place is terrible, from no parking to the toilet not bolted securely to the floor...Took 45 minutes just to get a coffee and the place only had a few people sitting. After a 45 minute wait and not seeing the table 20 feet from me still not have food I decided to leave. And the menu was about 8 pages long and prices were insane for what it is.....Silver Swan and Blue Door are 2 way better choices by far.

I have not personally been here but hearing a couple people who work there talk about how they are treated disappoints me a lot. The owner is not polite from what I hear at all. I heard he has cussed out underage staff (16-17) along with getting temper tantrums. I would not recommend this place solely for the fact that the behavior towards their staff is unpleasant.

Service is always good and the staff friendly.. especially when you constantly are sending your eggs back to be properly cooked. Seems like whomever came up with the 30 page menu is not there to see its executed correctly. Tables could use a proper cleaning..I don't know how salt and pepper can be both greasy and sticky at the same time...

Delicious and affordable breakfast, glad to have discovered this place. I included a picture of my plate and also the menu for breakfast options. You'd pay well over $10 at Bob Evans for this much food. Give Lyla's a try - you won't be sorry.
